Last weekend of ice fishing season….

I hope everyone who wanted to get in on some great Lake Erie ice fishing, got out this weekend. Because with the warm temperatures and rain this week, safe ice won’t be around very long. I’m betting that we’ll be able to launch by March 1st. I’m looking forward to some spring trolling for some hogs. The boat is ready to go, looking forward to the break-up.

Precision Trolling App

So I mentioned a few days ago I just bought the trolling app, and my question is that the app only shows 10lb Berkely XT and Fireline.
I think I am spooled for 12lb Sunline. So the Sunline may be a bit larger diameter, so if for example I am pulling a Reef Runner 800 at 2.0 mph and I want my lure to bait to run at 20 feet, I will let out 60 feet of line. So using the larger diameter of a 12 lb line, how much more line will I need to set?
Thank you,
Bruce

Where to buy a Fish Hawk

I have decided this is the year to rig my boat so I an find and catch fish on a more regular basis. Last weekend I ordered Cisco rod holders to replace the plastic holders I had been using. Today I bought the the Precision Trolling App ( I had been using paper copies of Reef Runners ), and now I want to get a Fish Hawk. It looks like they sold at dealers, but the nearest dealership to me in Maumee looks to be in Cleveland. I saw the website had two models on it, one for $1,100 and one for $1,300. I thought there were multiple models. I would like a model that I can transfer from my smaller boat and use it on my larger boat too. Suggestions where to go to buy and what model I should get.
Thanks,
Bruce
